Physical health

Physical health means your body is working properly and has the strength and energy to do everyday tasks comfortably.

  • What it includes: proper functioning of organs (heart, lungs, stomach, muscles), normal growth, and a body that can fight infections.
  • Not just “no disease”: you can be disease-free but still not physically healthy if you feel tired all the time, have poor stamina, or get frequent aches because of poor habits.
  • Signs of good physical health: good appetite, sound sleep, healthy body weight, clear skin, steady energy, and the ability to run/play/climb stairs without getting exhausted too quickly.
  • What builds it: balanced food (including proteins, vitamins, and minerals), regular exercise, enough sleep, clean surroundings, and safe drinking water.
  • Everyday example: if you can attend school, concentrate in class, and still have energy to play in the evening, your physical health is likely in a good state.

Physical health supports mental and social well-being too, because a strong, well-rested body makes it easier to stay calm, confident, and active with others.
